for the past century now. Starting out as a small blacksmithing
company, KRONE has developed into a leading forage crop
specialist. The right combination of ingenuity, proximity to

The process starts after many discussions
as KRONE employees are in close contact
with customers and sales partners. They
jointly analyze markets, trends and machi-
ne requirements.
New machinery is designed with the aid of
the latest computer technology. Thanks to
innovative design programs the machine
can even be simulated in operation on the
screen. In this way the machine can be
continuously optimised even during the
design phase.
Now is the time for the construction of a
prototype with experienced technicians
producing the first prototypes by hand so
that, in close cooperation with the desi-
gners, all components are assembled for
the first time to produce that new KRONE
machine.

Early recognition of trends, main-
taining close dialogue with custo-
mers and as always, reacting in
a trend-setting manner in the
market are all competencies that
characterize KRONE. For example
the rotary rake, where in this case,
Krone designed robustness into
the machines from the very be-
ginning and this has been well
proven and tested over the years
even in heavy silage crops. With
an enclosed cam track and fluid
grease filled, maintenance-free
rotor drives KRONE was able to
meet the demands made in
practice way back in 1989. This is
what distinguishes KRONE philo-
sophy – listening very carefully to
the demands of farmers and wage
paying customers and integrating
these practical ideas into their
machinery in a quick and innovati-
ve manner.
No computer simulation can fully replace
practical working therefore KRONE puts
its new machines through their paces all
over the world and under all conditions.
Only in this way is it assured that the
arduous testing has covered the complete
spectrum of the machine’s field of
operation.
Quality pays for itself. For this reason, we
check and document, whenever possible,
all processes during manufacture.
Moreover, KRONE even has its products
tested off the assembly line by indepen-
dent inspectors.
