Necklace
Catherine was inspired to design this necklace when one of her
clients fell in love with a strand of watermelon tourmaline briolettes
too short to make a complete necklace on its own. Catherine con-

Step 1:
Attach 8" of beading wire to one half of a clasp using
a crimp tube. Cover the tube with a crimp cover. String
50 pearls, 1 crimp tube, and the other half of the clasp.
Pass back through the tube; crimp and cover. Repeat once
using the same clasp to make a 2-strand pearl segment.
Step 2:
Attach 11" of wire to one half of a second clasp using
a crimp tube and cover. String 63 moonstone briolettes,
1 crimp tube, and the other half of the clasp. Pass back
through the tube, crimp and cover.
Step 3:
Attach 10" of wire to one half of a third clasp using a
crimp tube and cover. String 1 champagne rondelle, 1
champagne teardrop, 1 red rondelle, and 1 red teardrop
three times, omitting the last teardrop. String 1 spacer, 1
champagne rondelle, 1 red teardrop, and 1 red rondelle
fifteen times, alternating teardrop colors. String 1 red
teardrop, 1 champagne rondelle, 1 champagne teardrop,
and 1 red rondelle twice. String 1 crimp tube and the other
half of the clasp. Pass back through the tube; crimp and
cover.
Step 4:
Attach 11" of wire to one half of a fourth clasp using
a crimp tube and cover. String 101 labradorite teardrops,
1 crimp tube, and the other half of the clasp. Pass back
through the tube, crimp and cover.
Step 5:
Attach 11" of wire to one half of a fifth clasp using a
crimp tube and cover. String 1 oval and 1 charlotte thir-
teen times. String 1 oval, 1 crimp tube, and the other half
of the clasp. Pass back through the tube; crimp and cover.
Step 6:
Wear any of the single-strand segments with the pearl
segment, alternating them at will, for four necklaces in
one.

Tip
Crimp covers are a must with this project. Because
the clasps show on both sides of the necklace, it is
important to cover the crimps, making them look like
small gold beads, giving the necklace a professionally
finished look.
