Tools required for disassembly:
Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card.
Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card. Then remove the six screws you can see, circled below.

Next, slide something thin and flat like the edge of a credit card into the battery compartment, as shown below.
This will release the battery compartment.

Starting near the bottom of the phone, lift the battery compartment free. Make sure the top end comes away last.
When you put the phone back together make sure the top end of the battery compartment is aligned first.

With the battery compartment removed, your phone should look like below. Two ribbon connectors, circled
below, need to be disconnected. Each attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever them up to unplug.

Now lift the circuit board from left to right, as shown below. You'll see two more ribbon cables that need to be
disconnected. Again, they have a plug and socket type connector. Just lever each away from the circuit board to
unplug. Note the switch for the volume keys, indicated by the arrow. This is permanently connected to the circuit
board but stuck to the side of the housing with double sided tape. Carefully peel this away from the side of the
housing, leaving the switch connected to the circuit board.

With the circuit board removed, your phone should look like below. Note the volume switch, indicated by the
arrow, still attached to the circuit board. If you wish the remove the camera, disconnected the ribbon cable circled
in red. The microphone is circled below in white. Carefully lever this out of the recess it sits in. Be careful not to
damage the cable.

The next stage is to apply some heat to the sides of the grey, metal plate with a hot air gun or hair dryer. Do this
for about 60 seconds then slide your plastic tool behind the metal plate in order to release it.

With the metal plate removed, your phone should look like below. Another ribbon cable needs to be disconnected
now. This ribbon connects in a different way to the last few and attaches with a a zif connector. The brown part is
a latch that opens and closes on a hinge. Carefully flip it over, towards you and away from the ribbon, and the
ribbon will be free. Now apply some more heat around the edge of the back of the LCD screen and carefully run
your plastic tool around its edge, starting at the point indicated by the arrow in the photo below.

You should now have the LCD screen removed. Disassembly is complete. Reverse the whole procedure for
reassembly.
