INSTALLATION
Close all other Chasys Draw IES applications before continuing; files cannot be modified while they are in use. Setup will attempt to close any running instances but this behaviour should not be relied on.

Do not run any disk clean-up utilities during installation. Such utilities usually clear the temp folder which Setup and other programs use for temporary files.

PORTABLE VERSION
You can build a portable copy of Chasys Draw IES by going to File > Install to USB after installation. Setup does not build portable installations.

OTHER EDITORS
If you have Adobe Photoshop, GIMP or Paint.NET installed, you'll be asked to confirm if you want to associate their native file types with Chasys Draw IES during installation. In the event that you do so by mistake, you can always fix the error by going to Configure > File Associations.

PLUGINS

Please take a moment to review plug-in settings after installation; some settings may have changed due to changes in functionality.

Third-party plug-ins may need to be updated to be fully compatible with this version of Chasys Draw IES.

Plug-in configuration no-longer requires "Admin" rights; such rights are only needed for installing/removing plug-ins.

LANGUAGES

Chasys Draw IES was done in English; most of the other languages are old machine translations of the original English text that may contain grammatical errors and omissions. The language translation system was designed to be helpful; it was not designed to be perfect. It is, therefore, advisable that you use Chasys Draw IES in its native English language if you can.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Please ensure your system meets these minimum requirements:

Processor (CPU):

Minimum: Pentium III / 600 MHz CPU clock or equivalent
Recommended: Core i7 quad-core / 2.66 GHz equivalent or better

Memory (RAM):

Minimum: 512 MB
Recommended: 2.0 GB or more of fast DDR2/DDR3 RAM

Hard-Disk space:

Minimum: 50 MB + 500 MB free for temporary files
Recommended: 3.0 GB free on the installation drive

Monitor:

Minimum: Monitor capable of 1280 x 1024 resolution or higher in full color
Recommended: 24" IPS LCD monitor with native resolution of 1920 x 1200 or higher

Operating System:

Required: Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista / Windows 7 / 2008

Other Requirements:

Up-to-date drivers for all your hardware, especially graphics.
TWAIN and/or WIA drivers for scanning/imaging hardware
WinTAB drivers for Pen/Tablet digitizers
