Hello there. First off I would like to say thank you for purchasing this file. I had a great time designing it and I hope it shows.
As far as updating is concerned, it's a pretty easy one. Basically you are just dragging your logo in and deleting the current placeholder Envato logo.
There are 2 folders:
1) An After Effects file that has the Optical Flares Plugin for you to customize if you own it.
2) An After Effects file that has the Optical Flares FX Prerendered and ready to go for you.
The instructions for updating your logo will be exactly the same for both files.
So go ahead and open either of the After Effects Files (doesn't matter which one). Once you open you should see 2 comps (RENDER HERE & YOUR LOGO HERE), and 3 Folders (COMPS, SOLIDS, YOUR LOGO). Go ahead and import your logo so you have it ready. Next open up the YOUR LOGO HERE Comp. Turn off or delete the Envato Logo that is there now, and drag your logo into it's place. Align on the screen where you would like to see it.
Ok now go to the RENDER HERE comp. You should immediately see your logo being formed in the main comp. If you need to tweak the Shatter effect, go ahead and open the folder named COMPS. Then double click on the comp named LOGO FINAL RENDER. The last layer is named YOUR LOGO HERE. That is the layer with the Shatter effect.
Some possible things to tweak would be the amount of Repititions (how many pieces are flying about), and the Extrusion Depth (how far it sticks out).
And one last thing to keep in mind with the Shatter effect is that it does what the name says. It shatters stuff. It does not put it back together again. So to get that effect I time-remapped the "LOGO FINAL RENDER" Layer in the RENDER HERE Comp to play itself in reverse. If you want to change the timing, then you will need play with it at that level.
