Print Page 1 or Page 2 for scaled or oversized Topato. Print on thick paper , like
67 lb. or 110 lb. cardstock .
For the best folds, score each folding edge with a knife or round-ended scoring
tool… if you have one of those. I don’t know why you would; I don’t have one!
Maybe you are an heir to a real printing shop, I dunno.
Head Assembly -
Score all folding edges and cut out.
When gluing together, choose the front or back of his head and glue both
sides to it. Then you can glue the other (front or back).
Body Assembly -
Carefully Score and cut out boody. Use a ruler why doncha?
When gluing together, leave the top of the body gluing for last.
Cape – The cape can made with one piece or optionally have an underside (so
you will see red on Topato’s cape when he is upside-down)
One-sided Cape – cut out the cape part with the “T” on it. Score, cut
out and fold. Glue cape tabs onto finished body. Easy!
Two-sided Cape – score and cut out both cape pieces. Remove the
white tabs from the cape piece with the “T”. Trickier.
You could also just use a red marker or pigment pen or whatever is
red to color the underside of the Cape piece with the “T” on it. “Think;
Save Ink.”
Arms – These are easy enough. Score the arm pieces down the center along the
grey line. Cut out, fold and glue arm pieces together. When the arm pieces have
dried, cut out along the shape of the arm to get tiny arms ready to pummel.
Finally – Glue everything together. Cape to Body, Head to Body and then Arms.
You can glue the arms on anywhere… Topato’s mood can be modulated by
whether his arms point up or down.
