THESE ARE ALL SELF-EXTRACTING ARCHIVES. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- *************************************************************************** IT IS ADVISABLE TO KEEP A BACKUP, OR THE ORIGINAL COPY, OF WOLFENSTEIN 3D BECAUSE SOME OF THE PROGRAMS WILL EDIT THE DATA FILES FOR WOLFENSTEIN 3D. *************************************************************************** --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 WALLEDIT - This Program enables you to edit the walls in WOLF. 3D and import other GIF files to use as walls. The first time you wish to use this you must unpack the program into the directory where WOLF. 3D is stored. For example, if WOLF. 3D is in the directory C:\WOLF3D then to Install the Wall Editor you would type the following lines, at the DOS prompt : CD\WOLFEXTR\WALLEDIT WALLEDIT C:\WOLF3D Now, whenever you want to use the Wall Editor, you would change into the WOLF. 3D directory, and type : WOLFEDIT This program also comes with documentation, to read this, once installed, type, from the WOLF. 3D directory : TYPE WOLFEDIT.DOC | MORE --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 WOLFMAPS - These are the maps for the 10 levels of WOLF. 3D. Before the maps can be printed they must be unpacked. To do this type the following lines : CD\WOLFEXTR\WOLFMAPS WOLFMAPS NOTE that the printer must be set for printing in condensed mode (see printer manual for more details). First it would be advisable to print the key for all the maps, to do this type : TYPE KEYCODES.MAP > LPT1 To print any of the maps do the same : TYPE [mapfile] > LPT1 Where [mapfile] is a map of one of the levels, eg. LEVEL1.MAP,LEVEL2.MAP etc --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 SUPERWLF - This is a text file containg 'Super' Help for WOLF. 3D . Firstly, the file has to be unpacked, to do this type the following commands : CD\WOLFEXTR\SUPERWLF SUPERWLF To view the text file type : TYPE SUPERWLF.TXT --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4 CHEAT - This neat little program edits a saved game position from WOLF. 3D. The first time you wish to use this you must unpack the program into the directory where WOLF. 3D is stored. Before the program can be run it must be unpacked. To do this type the following lines : CD\WOLFEXTR\PRINTMAP PRINTMAP To run the program, now type : WMAP or to view the documentation file type : TYPE WMAP.TXT | MORE --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7 EDITMAP - This Program enables you to edit the maps in WOLF. 3D and also to create your own maps. The first time you wish to use this you must unpack the program into the directory where WOLF. 3D is stored.
