P0100 - Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage High
Engine not in operating condition:
Engine stationary
Start
Engine speed is greater than 736 rpm
(Short circuit to voltage)
Replacement Value:
Trouble code P0120 not present:
The control unit calculates with an air mass resulting from engine speed and the throttle valve angle.
Trouble code P0120 present:
The control unit calculates with an air mass resulting from engine speed.
Effect:
Exhaust gas recirculation valve is switched off
The learn functions (oxygen sensor control, idle air control and knock control) are locked and the last
valid values are used for calculation.
With trouble code P0120 recognised:
The oxygen sensor control is locked.
Note:
"Emergency Mode" is activated, if trouble code P0100 is recognised.

Intake air temperature is less than -42.0 °C (-43.6 °F)
(Short circuit to voltage or circuit interruption)
Above condition must be fulfilled for at least 60 s .
Replacement Value:
The control unit takes 15.0 °C (59.0 °F) as replacement value.
Effect:
The learn functions are locked and current values are used for calculation.
Concerned Terminals:
47 (X58), 48 (X58)

Intake air temperature is greater than 129.0 °C (264.2 °F)

Replacement Value:
The control unit takes 15.0 °C (59.0 °F) as replacement value.
Effect:
The learn functions are locked and current values are used for calculation.
Concerned Terminals:
47 (X58), 48 (X58)
P0115 - Coolant Temperature Voltage High
Coolant temperature is less than -42.0 °C (-43.6 °F)
(Short circuit to voltage or circuit interruption)
Above condition must be fulfilled for at least 60 s .
Replacement Value:
With ignition ON and trouble code P0110 not present, the intake air temperature is taken as the
starting value.
With ignition ON and trouble code P0110 present, 0.0 °C (32.0 °F) is taken as the starting value.
If a plausible measured value for the coolant temperature has already been determined, this value is
taken as the starting value.
The starting value is increased by 1.0 °C (33.8 °F) to a maximum of 96 °C (205 °F) every 146 cycles
(1 cycle = 720 °CA).
This value is then used for the remaining operation.
Effect:
Fuel tank ventilation valve control is locked.
The fuel tank ventilation valve is closed.
All adaptations except the following adaptations are locked:
Throttle position adaptation
Idle air controller adaptation

Coolant temperature is greater than 138.0 °C (280.4 °F)
(Short circuit to ground)
Above condition must be fulfilled for at least 60 s .
Replacement Value:
With ignition ON and trouble code P0110 not present, the intake air temperature is taken as the
starting value.
With ignition ON and trouble code P0110 present, 0.0 °C (32.0 °F) is taken as the starting value.
