Hello there! Thank you very much for downloading my 'Isles EP'! I really hope you enjoyed listening to it as much as I enjoyed making this record. Unlike my previous album 'Cassini' where a few of the songs (the tracks Cassini and Double Helix specifically) were written beforehand, everything on this EP was written and recorded in a two week break I had between exams and the start of second semester. It may not seem like a long time to record something but I work fairly spontaneously and it worked well for me when recording Cassini. The idea to name the songs after Scottish islands came fairly soon after releasing Cassini and it helped that some friends of mine and I have had great times on the Isle of Skye previously (we had one such expedition in between the recording of Cassini incidentally). I've managed to answer every one of your posts so far so I'll try my best to keep that up - http://www.facebook.com/SithuAyeMusic Sithu x Notes on Isles EP: All the guitars and bass were recorded by me except for some guitar solos at the end of Skye, where my good friend Martin Collier contributed some leads and the bass at the end of Jura was recorded by my brother Kaung-Myat. All the drums were programmed by me, all the songs were written by me, all the mixing and mastering was done by me. Isles EP was recorded using a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, an Ibanez RG1527 and a Yamaha RBX5-A2 bass. All equipment in the guitars is stock. All amps are simulated so no microphones were harmed in the recording of this EP. Drums are Superior Drummer 2.0 and synths are a collection of vst's I have lying about in my pc. Big thanks to Alistair Morrant for taking the photo used on the EP cover and a big thanks to my good friend Lilly Ockenden for modelling in the photo as well as coming up with the general concept of the cover.
