Interview With Krystal Steal - 4/6/2005 Location: Phone Interview A stunning blonde who had the honor of becoming Club Jenna's very first contract girl (other than Ms. Jameson herself, of course), Krystal Steel has gone from being a frequent gonzo performer to one of the adult industry's most glamorous actresses. We got the chance to catch up with Ms. Steal and find out a little more about her and what her plans are as she establishes herself in the world of porn. PornstarEmpire.com: How long have you been in the industry, and can you tell us a little about how you got started? Krystal Steal: I've been in about 3 to 3 ? years. Typical story - stripper to porn star. I was stripping at the age of 17. I did my first movie when I was 18...right before I was 19. I did it "just because". I was dancing and was cool with that, and I just wanted to take it one step further and see if it was something I could do. I honestly didn't plan to make a career out of it, but I did it and I liked it and people seemed to like me, and I've taken off ever since. Q: And do you remember what the first movie you did was? Krystal Steal: The first movie I did was a blowjob scene and it was called The Oral Adventures of Craven Moorehead. It wasn't a sex scene, but that was the first movie. The first sex scene I did was Peter North. Q: And do you know how many movies you've been in to date? Krystal Steal: I couldn't tell you how many, because they constantly reuse scenes to make new movies. Currently I have 80 titles out, but I know there are a lot more that haven't been released. PornstarEmprie.com: Can you tell our readers what movies you're working on now or something that will be coming out shortly? Krystal Steal: Well, my next Club Jenna movie will be coming out towards the end of this month, called Steal Runway. And right now, the next movie I'm working on is an interactive DVD I'm supposed to be shooting next week. So that will be the next movie that I have on my schedule. Q: Do you have any favorite movies out of the ones you've done so far? Krystal Steal: Steal Runway...the one that's coming out this month. That one that I think is called Therapy or something like that. Those were my two favorite movies to make. Q: The one you just mentioned...Therapy...that's not out yet, is it? Krystal Steal: I just shot that like a month or two ago, so I don't know when the date will be [that it's coming out]. Q: Can you tell us how you came to be a contract girl for Club Jenna and why you decided to become a contract girl? Krystal Steal: When I first got into the business, the first year I had about 40 or 50 titles under my belt that were just gonzo before I ever became a contract girl. My first contract was with Pleasure for one year, and I went straight from the end of my Pleasure contract into my contract with Club Jenna. That happened because I had met Jenna at a convention...just briefly, and I was petrified to meet her...and I didn't think anything of it, but a couple weeks later I got contacted saying that they wanted to do my website. So we squared that away, and I went out to her house to shoot some content for my site. She knew my contract was expiring, and she approached me and asked me what I thought about being her first contract girl. And it was obviously a no-brainer. Hello?! Q: Do you have any favorite actors or actresses that you've worked with? Krystal Steal: My favorite guys to work with are Barrett Blade and Eric Masterson. Q: And do you have any favorite girls that you like to work with? Krystal Steal: Well, Jenna...but she doesn't do me anymore! Well, I have my friends that I like to work with...but there are a couple of girls that I would love to work with - like Briana Banks...she's hot! Q: Well, that was kind of my next question. Do you have any actors or actresses you'd like to work with that you haven't gotten the chance to yet? Krystal Steal: Well, with girls being under contract, it's hard to work with many of the good girls because we're all with different companies. But I'd love to work with Janine and Briana Banks...I'd pretty much love to work with all the contract girls. Q: Outside of porn, what are some of your hobbies and what do you like to do in your spare time? Krystal Steal: I'm odd! Everybody makes fun of my answer to this question. My hobby is that I love to sleep! I'm a sleeper! But I like to play video games; I have a garden that I tend to; I love animals, so I play with all my animals; I smoke weed! Q: You've been in the industry for several years now...have people started recognizing you in public? Krystal Steal: Oh yeah...especially here where I live. I get recognized all the time. I'm at the grocery store or the gas station, and I get [in a deep male voice] "Hey! Excuse Me?! Has anyone ever told you that you look like Krystal Steal?!" So [it happens] especially a lot down here where I live. But I've been recognized all over...not like Jenna...not like her status. The tattoo on my lower back gives me away every time! People will look at me and think "maybe that's her" and then see the tattoo and think "that's her!" Q: Does your family and friends know what you do for a living, and what do they think of it? Krystal Steal: My immediate family knows. My one grandmother knows. But everybody else, no. And, of course, they don't love it...they don't want their daughter to have sex for money on film. That's not their dream job, but I come from a really great family. My parents live like two minutes down the street from me, and my mom is over here every day...and my family supports me no matter what I do, and helps me with whatever I need. Q: As far as your future plans and goals, do you have an idea of how long you want to stay in the industry, and what you might like to do after you leave porn? Krystal Steal: Well, if I can get to even half of what Jenna has accomplished, I will stay in it as long as she did. Ten years or something. If I could be as successful as her, then I will stay in as long as I can...but I'll know when it's my exit cue or when I'm getting less popular. I'll know when it's my cue, but if I can take this ball and run with it as far as she did, then I will [stay around].
