MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Creative Paper: SR097P Light Rainbow.
Centura Pearl Paper Sample Set: CNTSP.
Dark Brown Card.
Peel-Off Stickers: XL604U-01 Letters.
Bel Satin Ribbon: RIB22-01 Pale Yellow.
Flashy Cord: RIB16-01 Gold.
Paper Punches: 15mm Daisy & 5mm Hole
and 15mm Hole.
Embossing Tool and Mat.
Tracing Paper and Pencil.
Craft Knife.
Double Sided Tape and Mini Fixers.
P.V.A. Craft Adhesive.
Card Mount: SF01U-43 Linen White.
TO MAKE THE CARD:
Cover the front of the card with the pale rain-
bow paper using the pale orange to lilac section
to match with the Centura Pearl paper colours
used in the design.
Cut four 35cm lengths of the pale yellow
Bel Satin ribbon and tie together in a knot
close to one end.
Place the ribbon on the front of the card with the
knot at the lower left corner as shown in the photo.
Fan the ribbons out across the card in the positions
shown and stick in place using double sided tape.
Trim the ribbon ends to the card edges and trim the
ends below the knot to about 2cm long.
Cut a strip of brown card to 13mm wide and cut
off a 14cm long piece and an 8cm long piece. Stick
the two pieces together with the top bar at an angle
as shown to make the cross. Wind the flashy cord
around the upright, criss-crossing over the bar as
shown. Use sticky fixers to attach the cross to the
card keeping it close to the top left edge.
Trace the flower and leaf shapes from the diagram.
Transfer one flower shape to orange, magnolia and
pink Centura Pearl paper. I’ve suggested an A4 sam-
ple set of papers as you can do so much more with
all the lovely colours. You can buy the three individual
colours used instead (as large sheets cut to A4).
Transfer the leaf shape to the pea green paper in
the usual way to make three leaves then cut out all
the leaves and flowers.

Turn the flowers face down onto the embossing
mat one at a time and emboss around the edge of
each flower. Emboss one flower with dots, another
with lines and the last one with swirls, I’ve marked
one petal of each pattern onto the diagram for trac-
ing, or you can do them freehand using the photo
to guide you.
Turn the flowers face up and run the tool
around the inside of the embossed line on the
edge of the petal and around the pattern from
this side to give it more definition. Work the
leaves in the same way, embossing around the
edge and along the centre line shown.
Cut or punch out a large and a small circle
in each of the three flower colours. Emboss
the edges of the larger circles in the same way,
then glue them onto the flowers using different
colours for each. Add a tiny sticker dot or waste
piece from inside the alphabet letters to the
centre of each flower.
Position the flowers and leaves on the card as
shown and stick them in place using mini fixers.
Add the lettering to the ribbon using the peel-off
stickers and decorate the background with punched
daisies in the flower colours. Place a tiny sticker dot
to each daisy centre as before.
Stick this image into the card behind the aperture
and glue the card closed in the usual way.
Cut strips of the rainbow paper to 15mm wide and
3cm wide and add them to the card front as shown.
Edge each of the strips with a gold borderline and
make a sticker border around the aperture too. Add
the wording onto the top paper border on the card.
The flowers and leaves are cut out and embossed
in the same way as the main card, but to make them
look a little different, emboss them the other way
around, i.e. from the front and then the back. This
will curve the edges of the pieces towards you, rather
than away from you as before.
The punched daisies have small waste pieces from
the sticker sheet as centres.
VARIATION:
This similar design uses the yellow to blue side
of the pale rainbow paper along with blue and yellow
sheets from the sample set of Centura paper.
The card blank is AP58U-46 Hammer Cream, and
the peel-off stickers are XL536U for the crosses,
XL420U for the wording and XL500U borders.
Apply a cross sticker to a piece of the rainbow
paper placing it so there is a hint of green at the
bottom, going into yellow, with a hint of orange at
the top of the crosses.
