agist - A fee charged to private landowners for public services, or the re-
quirement that private land be used for public services
aglet - The plastic or metal tip on the end of shoelaces
agogic - Pertaining to the making of wax models
agonous - Engaged in deadly combat
agoraphobia - A fear of open places
agrae - The wire that holds the cork in a bottle of champagne
agrapha - The collective name for phrases which are often quoted and at-
tributed to someone who never said them.
