sizes for available timbers (if you decide to make the bench top in an Australian hardwood it would be best to design a
more robust top around milled stair tread sizes of 240 x 41)
Harpers Timbers have recently purchased Chadwick’s (http://www.harpertimber.com.au).
Where ever you live in this vast continent of ours you will ind that the sizes listed above should be available from
larger timber yards. Ask your timber merchant about local species as substitutes for imported timbers.
