Materials Required:
3mm Quilling paper: Light Olive Green, Mid
Green, Blue Green, Peach, Pink. 5mm: White.
Small quilling tool.
P. V.A. Craft Adhesive.
Card mount: SF03P Cream/Brown Oval.
To Make The Card:
Main Leaves:
Make four of these varying as shown
below. The leaves are made by the ‘alternate
side looping’ method, with two or three
different shades of green paper being looped
at the same time.
Each leaf has a different number of side
loops, this diagram shows them approxi-
mately actual size and the same way up
as on the card so you can see where each
belongs.
Actual Size
Hold the two or
three strips of paper
together and as you
form the first loop,
gently pull the end(s)
of the inner strip(s)
of paper slightly to
make the loops dif-
ferent heights.
Fold the two or three
papers to make a
loop, again the inner
paper(s) should be
gently pulled to
make the loop(s)
shorter.
Fold the papers to
make a loop on the
other side, again
making the inner
loop(s) shorter.
Continue making as
many alternating
side loops as needed
for the leaf you are
working then fold
the paper at the base
of the leaf.
If you are winding
with three papers,
snip off the end of
the middle paper.
Wind the remaining
two colours round
the leaf. Glue them
at the base and cut
off the excess paper.

Loop Leaves
Make two of
these. Using a sin-
gle piece of pale
green paper, make
a loop at one end
and ‘alternate’ fold
the leaf making as
many side folds as
needed. Glue the
end and snip of the excess paper.
Flower Petals:
Make 24 half petals
from 1 2 lengths of yellow
paper and 12 smaller
half petals from 1 3
lengths of pink paper.
Make a loose coil
and glue the end. Pinch
each end and flatten one side to shape as shown.
Flower Centres:
Make three of
these. Using a 1⁄3
length of 5mm white
paper.
Wind two or three
turns of quilling
paper onto the tool
and make a right
angle fold as shown.
Continue rolling
the paper onto the
tool bringing it up as
you roll until it is
straight again.
Fold the paper
over at a right angle
as shown. Roll it onto
the tool bringing it
back up until it is in
line again.
Repeat these steps
keeping the bottom of
the rose tight against
the tool until the rose
is the correct size.
Remove from the tool
and glue the end of
the paper.
Actual Size
Pair up the petals and
run a line of glue along
one of the flat sides of
each pair. Push the pairs
together and hold until
the glue sticks.
Lay the petals onto the diagram above and
glue them together where they touch to make
three flowers.
Assemble the pieces onto the card, glueing
them into place and making the scrolls as you go.
Begin with the large leaves, the two scrolls
which are lying flat on the card and the top
folded leaf.
Place the top yellow flower onto the card
with the upper three petals overlaid on the
leaves. Add the pink flower with the upper
three petals overlaid on the yellow flower.
Place the bottom yellow flower with the
upper three petals on the card, add the lower
folded leaf between the two left hand petals and
the two scrolls tucked between the yellow and
pink flowers. Glue a white flower centre onto
each flower to finish.
